Manual Clean Reinstalls for Network Edition Macs

To do a clean reinstall of AccountEdg Network Edition on your Mac, do the following:

1. Go to Applications folder > Delete “AccountEdge NE” app

2.  Click Go > Hold ‘option’ or ‘alt’ > select the option ‘Library’ > Application Support > Delete “AccountEdge NE” folder    Note: The ‘Library’ option will only appear if you are holding the option or alt key.

3. Click Go > Computer > Mac HD > Library > Launch Daemons > Delete “com.acclivity.fileconnect.plist”

4. Click Go > Computer > Mac HD > Library > PreferencePanes > Delete “AccountEdge.prefPane”

5. Click Go > Computer > Mac HD > Library > Application Support > Delete “Acclivity” folder

6. Click Go > Computer > Mac HD > Library > Application Support > AccountEdge NE > [If you are on the host doing this reinstall, preserve the Databases folder by dragging it out of the AE NE folder and onto the user’s desktop] > Then delete the entire AccountEdge NE folder that’s located in Application Support.

7. EMPTY the trash bin

8. RESTART the Mac

9. To obtain a new copy of your software, please log into My Account and click Download for your version.
