When you ask AccountEdge AI for something, what comes back is a Project — a formatted report built from your own data, with insights and a summary down the left side of the window. Once it's in front of you, there are three things worth knowing how to do: add a chart, check a number, and export it for someone else.
Adding charts and graphs
Click the Charts icon in the prompt box. AccountEdge AI suggests a few chart options based on your results — select one, then change the chart type if you'd like something different. Click the Charts icon again to add more visuals.
Charts follow the numbers. On the Plus plan, you can change any figure in the spreadsheet view, and any graphics above it update automatically.
Checking a number
Every figure in a Project traces back to the source transactions in your company file, so you never have to take a number on faith. Click the cells-to-reference icon in the upper right, select the cell you want to look into, and ask AccountEdge AI to show the transactions behind it.
If something looks off, it's usually a categorization issue in AccountEdge rather than a calculation error. Fix the transaction there, sync, and the Project updates. And it's worth remembering that AI makes mistakes sometimes — AccountEdge AI is no different, which is why the drill-in is always a click away.
Exporting
When a Project is ready to share with your accountant, bookkeeper, lender, or business partner, click the three dots in the upper right corner of the window and choose your format. Every plan exports to PDF; AccountEdge AI Plus also exports to Excel and CSV.
